New & exciting...

So much to get down because there are things I want to remind myself to write on in the next few days.  I am going to have to revert to using a list...kinda like I have done on past post.

  1. I will find out on Friday if I am getting a girl or boy Yorkie-Poo.  I am very excited to add this new addition to my life.  Losing Triplee so suddenly July 1st has left a tremendous void in my heart.  I know that I will never replace her sweet little face, attitude, and grace, but I know in my heart I am ready to love another little personality.  I will tell the new pup all about his or her wonderful older sister.
  2. In 4 days I am turning 31.  I am so pleased with this.  Unlike last year and dreading the big 30...I am so grateful for all that I have learned, loved, & lost in the past 365 days.  I wouldn't change the experiences that I have had because I finally know who I am.  *I want to do a 31 reasons why I am glad to be turning 31.
  3. I am heading to the beach on Saturday morning to start my birthday weekend off at my most favorite place (the ocean) with one of my favorite people (John.)  I am so blessed.
  4. I participated in a really cool swap with the girls from Red Velvet.  It was "my three favorite things" swap and I was paired with a very talented artist from Maine, Heather Wilson.  She has a very cool shop on Etsy.  Lots of fabulous eye candy like this & this

This is my swap package from Heather.  I loved the star magnet (stars are my weakness) and the really yummy fabric.  Thanks Heather for the new inspiration!  Ohh...and the lip balm is FANTASTIC!

Hpim4224 My package to her just went out today.  Below is a sneak pick of my favorite things...Tea, Stars, PaperSource, Ink, a few other things and a new painting from my etsy shop ::Scribbles Inc:: I really hope she enjoys my package.  See photo below.Hpim4221

Thanks for stopping by..it is fun to read comments so if you have a moment say hi.

new studio space::new project

so excited.  i have lived in my condo since late December, but this past weekend I finally finished my studio space.  I could barely sleep Saturday night since my mind was spinning with ideas for new projects.  a few weeks ago i was in Richmond, VA and visited a scrapbook store, Memories Galore.  I finally got my hands on some new "love, elsie" paper.  Add random bits of fun from Recollections sale (felt stickers, random word stickers) a few jenni bowlin stamps & martha stewart paper) you get this...enjoy!

april, may, june, july...a blur

Last time  I updated this blog, I was sitting in my hotel room at the four seasons, Tokyo.  Life certainly can hand you a whopping deck of cards when you aren't looking.

Living in the moment is something that I have been striving for since early February and I actually feel blessed that I have worked so hard to find that balance, because life hasn't been very easy since that hotel room in Tokyo.

I have lost alot, but I have gained a few things too.  I feel happy, content, grateful almost everyday now.  For the moment that is all I can ask for.  *jeny

The Journey::Mary Oliver

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice--
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do--
determined to save
the only life you could save.
